Google announces Cyber Weekend deals for Play Store

We are smack dab in the middle of Black Friday right now – actually, probably in a bit of a lull, with the early morning (or, let’s face it, dead of night) crowds thinning out and things beginning to get a little more civilized. We’ve already told about plenty of ways you can save on smartphones and tablets not only today, but into the weekend and out to Cyber Monday as well. What we haven’t spent that much time looking at, though, are fully digital deals – and you’d better believe that the companies behind app stores haven’t forgotten about this holiday weekend, either. Google just shared some savings of its own, announcing what it’s calling its Cyber Weekend deals.
Google’s offers are far from just app-only, and also extend to music, movies, TV, and books – all the good stuff the Play Store has to offer. We spotted a couple good app deals, but most of the savings there are on in-app purchases, which might not be everybody’s cup of tea. That said, we did spot some more compelling deals in categories like books, with some nice bundle savings, as well with TV seasons, as some are discounted $10 or more.
And don’t forget, Google’s Nexus 7 holiday offer still stands, giving buyers $25 in Play Store credit, and shoppers picking up a Chromecast will get a free movie rental. Click through to the source link to check out the full assortment of deals for yourself.
